Aidan Goldstraw is the creative force behind Text Factory.

Aidan has more than 25 years experience in both the regional and national press, starting his career as a trainee reporter with the Staffordshire Newsletter.

He then moved into the production side of journalism, including a spell as a sub-editor on The Sun. In 1987, he joined the Express & Star, Britain’s biggest regional newspaper outside of London, first as a senior news sub, then as a features writer.

In 1997 he created westmidlands.com (later expressandstar.com) for parent company the Midland News Association, taking the web site’s readership from ground zero to seven million page impressions per month and in the process winning a string of industry awards.

He now works as a freelance journalist, with clients as diverse as Trade Only, the UK’s biggest service provider for the promotional gifts industry, and the National Sheep Association, for whom he has created web sites for major national and regional shows.

Aidan is also a freelance musician, and his cross-media knowledge brings a unique perspective to clients’ media requirements.
